The Neue Galerie New York is a museum devoted to early twentieth-century German and Austrian Art and Design.

This volume, the inaugural catalogue of the Neue Galerie New York, highlights works by fine and decorative artists from Germany and Austria between 1890 and 1940. Focusing on 26 visual artists and 18 decorative artists whose work is represented in the Neue Galerie New York collection, the catalogue offers an overview of their works and situates them within the history of their reception in 20th-century America. It also tells the stories of the numerous museum officials, patrons, art dealers and journalists who brought these artworks to the attention of the American public.

Ms. Zuber worked on the scholarly inaugural publication New Worlds.

As part of her summer fellowship at the Neue Galerie, she:

  • conducted archival and photo research

  • requested visual material and cleared publication rights

  • coordinated photo shoots

  • organized and maintained images for submission to the publisher (more than 400 images, 600 pages)

  • fact-checked and edited catalogue essays in English and German
